Jamie Jacobson

Jamie Jacobson (She/Her), MS
Professional Counselor Associate

I work with adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational challenges. I am passionate about fostering spaces where people can step fully into their lives. I work to help clients uncover who they are, clarify who they want to be, and cultivate the courage to take up space in the world with authenticity and confidence. This includes my work with clients in the LGBTQIA2S+ community, offering affirming, safe, and welcoming spaces where clients can explore their authentic selves.

My approach is eclectic and individually tailored, integrating concepts from evidence-based therapies such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). For clients who connect with creativity, I bring music, songwriting, and instrumental expression into the therapeutic process as additional pathways to insight and healing.

With 25 years experience as a music professor prior to counseling, I also bring a lifetime devoted to teaching, creativity, and human connection. I am thrilled to bring my voice, artistry, and love of people to this next chapter as a counselor, guiding others toward resilience, growth, and meaningful change.

I hold a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health and Counseling from Eastern Oregon University (2025), a Bachelor of Science degree in Music with a focus on Vocal Performance from Eastern Oregon University (2001), and have extensive coursework toward a Master of Music degree from Boise State University with a focus on Vocal Pedagogy (2001-2006). I maintain my lifelong love of learning through continuing education and certifications in the field of mental health and counseling.
