Emma Pietrok, MA
Professional Counselor Associate
I approach counseling with curiosity, compassion, and humor when appropriate. I see you as the expert on your own life and aim to honor your experiences. Therapy, to me, is a collaborative process with the opportunity to explore and shift throughout sessions as we work towards growth and healing together.
While I take a client-centered approach, I draw from a variety of modalities, including narrative therapy, Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to blend structure with exploration. While we are individuals, we are greatly impacted by the society we live in, our relationships, and lived experiences that shape and mold who we are. Together we can explore the impacts these systems have, including the stuck patterns and beliefs you may be experiencing.
I am a professional counselor associate with a range of experience including residential treatment, community mental health, and outpatient settings. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oregon State University-Cascades.
I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, grief, self-esteem, relational challenges, and trauma. I am especially passionate about empowering and supporting youth through their unique life challenges. By providing a space where they feel heard and validated as they navigate who they are in this world. Moving at your pace, I want to work together to explore these experiences and beliefs, while discovering new ways to cope with life’s constant changes and challenges. Including being able to regain some autonomy over your own life.
My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental, and supportive space where you can focus on what matters most to you. I look forward to beginning this journey alongside you!
